With
more than 50 top 10 hits, the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra
brings audiences back year after year with its big brass sounds and
unique jazz melodies. Considered by many to be one of the greatest big
bands of all time, the present group was formed in 1956 and has been
touring consistently ever since. Directed by trombonist Larry O'Brien,
the Glenn Miller Orchestra plays an average of 300 live shows around
the world each year.
Returning to his roots in a special
homecoming appearance is the newest member of the Glenn Miller
Orchestra, alumnus Brian Hemstock, who graduated from WMU in 2008. As a
four-year member of the acclaimed WMU vocal jazz group, Gold Company,
Hemstock is no stranger to the Miller Auditorium stage.
Part
of the Miller Auditorium Spotlight Series, the Glenn Miller Orchestra
at Miller Auditorium is sponsored by Zhang Financial. Tickets are on
